Only Park District Residents and Guest are eligible, proof is required.
All NYS and Park District fishing rules must be obeyed.
Anyone 16 years and older must have a valid NYS Fishing License.

Swim Lesson Testing 2013
Monday July 1st through Friday July 5th
Testing will NOT take place on Thursday July 4th

   

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
Beach 2 12:00 - 2:00PM
Beach 7 4:00 - 6:00PM
Swim Lesson testing will take place on Monday July 1st through Friday July 5th. Testing will NOT take place on Thursday July 4th.
July 5th will be the final day of testing - no exceptions.
Classes will be assigned and posted on each of the beach's bulletin boards on Sunday July 7th by 5:00PM
Classes will begin the week of Monday July 8th
Lessons will be conducted once a week for a 5 week program and will end the week of August 5th, the week of the Annual Summer Festival.
To be enrolled in swim lessons your child must be at least 5 years old, be a Lake Carmel resident and have a valid beach pass.
If you have scheduling conflicts and cannot attend Swim Lesson Testing, please contact Town Hall before July 1st.

Directions to the Lake Carmel Park District Community Center
From NYC:
Take the Hutchinson River Parkway North to Route 684. Take 684 North to Route 84 West. Take 84 West (towards Newburgh) to the second exit, Route 311. At the end of ramp, turn left, under the highway. Follow Route 311 to first left, Terry Hill Road. Make left onto Terry Hill Road. Follow Terry Hill over the lake, make first right onto East Lake Shore Drive. Take East Lake Shore Drive to Yorktown Road, turn left. The Community Center is the second driveway on the right.
From the North:
Take I-84 East towards Danbury, to exit 18, Route 311. At the end of ramp, turn right. Follow Route 311 to first left, Terry Hill Road. Make left onto Terry Hill Road. Follow Terry Hill over the lake, make first right onto East Lake Shore Drive. Take East Lake Shore Drive to Yorktown Road, turn left. The Community Center is the second driveway on the right.
From the Mahopac Area:
Take Route 6 towards Carmel to Route 52. Follow Route 52 West to Route 311. Make a right on Route 311. Follow Route 311 to the third right, Terry Hill Road. Turn right onto Terry Hill Road. Follow Terry Hill over the lake, make first right onto East Lake Shore Drive. Take East Lake Shore Drive to Yorktown Road, turn left. The Community Center is the second driveway on the right.

Rental

Note: You must provide proof of insurance prior to event either as a rider on your homeowner’s policy or by purchasing special event insurance from your insurance company.
Alcohol Use Policy
Alcoholic beverages other than beer and wine in non-glass containers are prohibited within the Lake Carmel Park District Community Center property. Kegs and barrels are also prohibited. No person less than 21 years of age may possess and/or consume alcoholic beverages in any area of the Lake Carmel Park District Community Center. If there is alcohol being served, SERVICE OF ALCOHOL MUST END one hour before the end of the event (this does not include clean-up time).

If alcohol is being served to a party of more than 50 people, a licensed caterer must be hired to serve. Under 50 people does not require a caterer with a liquor license. For all parties where alcohol is being served, homeowners insurance with $1,000,000 liability must be provided.

If a caterer is used to dispense alcohol, the caterer must have all required permits and/or licenses. In addition, the caterer must submit a certificate of insurance, demonstrating proof that the caterer has the following coverages:

Commercial General Liability Liquor Liability
Limits of $1 Million each Occurrence. $2 Million General and Products/Completed Operations Aggregates, $1 Million Personal/Advertising Injury Liability/$50,000 Fire Damage Legal Liability and $5,000 Medical Payment Expense.
Liquor Liability
$1 Million each Occurrence and $2 Million Aggregate.

Workers Compensation and Employers Liability
Statutory limits and coverages.

Lake Carmel Park District Community Center, Town of Kent, shall be listed as an additional insured on the Commercial General Liability and Liquor Liability Policies.

The Community Center is in constant need of volunteers for its committees and events, as well as special projects.
